Claims Conference European Workshop for Shoah Research, Education and Documentation Organizations

insidethegatesOn 17–20 November 2025, an international seminar for teachers and researchers of World War II and Holocaust history was held in Amsterdam at the National Holocaust Museum.
Scientists and educators from 44 European countries and representatives of organisations from the United States took part. The event was organised by the international organisation Claims Conference (Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany).

Anatolii Podolskyi, Head of the Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies and PhD in History, presented a report entitled Challenges in Researching the History of the Holocaust during the Russian War against Ukraine.
He highlighted Ukraine’s thirty years of experience in studying, teaching, and preserving the memory of Holocaust victims, as well as the long-standing cooperation between Ukrainian institutions and the Claims Conference.
The seminar programme focused on combating Holocaust distortion and denial, rethinking Holocaust education, and honouring the memory of the tragedy. Particular attention was given to international cooperation between institutions engaged in Holocaust research and teaching.
