XVI Competition of Students’ Research and Art Works “History and Lessons of the Holocaust”
The XVI All-Ukrainian I.B. Medvinsky Competition of Students’ Research and Art Works “History and Lessons of the Holocaust” took place on 14-16 May in Kyiv. It was traditionally organized by Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies with the support from the Eurasian Jewish Congress and the Embassy of the State of Israel to Ukraine. A section on Roma genocide during WWII was sponsored by the Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility, Future for the third year in a row. This year the participants sent in 70 papers from 14 regions of Ukraine and also from Belarus and Moldova. 52 of these were approved for participation in the final event. In total the competition hosted almost 60 pupils of 8 – 11 grades and up to 42 teachers-tutors from Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.

Research Team Meeting for the Project “One Stone - One Life: 80 Stumbling Stones for Kyiv”
On 13 December 2025, the first in‑person meeting of school research teams took place in Kyiv. These teams are currently studying the biographies for new Stumbling Stones. Five teams from Kyiv and one from Odesa - history teachers working together with their students - are each conducting their own research.
