The XXIV I.B. Medvinsky All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Works ‘History and Lessons of the Holocaust’
12-13 May, XXIV I.B. Medvinsky All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Works History and Lessons of the Holocaust was held! A total of 39 works were admitted to the final part of the competition. This year the competition was held offline in compliance with all security measures.
We were hospitably welcomed by the Podol-Inn Hotel at the Synagogue on Shchekavytska Street. So, in addition to the presentation programme, the participants had the opportunity to visit the synagogue and learn about the history of Jewish art presented by artist and art historian Iryna Klymova. We would like to express our gratitude to all the participants and their mentors! We thank each of you for your efforts in creating works that carry the memory and important lessons of history. Seminar ‘How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren’
On 26-28 September 2025, a methodological seminar entitled How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren was held in Kyiv. Educators from nine regions of Ukraine gathered to learn, exchange experiences and seek answers to difficult questions. The seminar participants had already successfully completed the online course How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren, which began on 10 June 2025, and now had the opportunity to continue their training in the format of direct professional communication.
