Educational course “Genocide of Jews in Europe: Perspectives and Approaches”. Study trip to Berlin 2019
On 8-12 September 2019 the second part of the anniversary educational course aimed at young scholars, lecturers and researchers of memory culture took place in Berlin. After a two-day seminar in Kyiv in June and during the September study trip to Berlin all the participants of the educational course had a possibility to get to know more about memorial practices and educational activities connected with the history of Nazism and honoring the victims of the Holocaust in Germany.
Among the places which were visited by the group were the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, monuments dedicated to the various groups of victims located around the Memorial, monuments around the Grunewald railway-station from where deportation of Jews to the death camps took place at the Nazi time. Moreover, participants visited the Topography of Terror Museum, which is located on the site of the former Gestapo headquarters. The course included workshops conducted at the House of Wannsee Conference by Dr Wolf Kaiser “What Do History of the National-Socialism and Holocaust teach us today?” and by Christoph Kreutzmüller “Photography as historical Source”. Among important educational activities connected with the Holocaust education were visiting the tolerance space and artistic exhibition „7xjung – Your Training Ground for Solidarity and Respect” as well interactive meeting “Inheritance of Memory - National Socialism among different generations” conducted by Marina Chernivsky.
Educational trip to Berlin was organized and financed by the Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz. The Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies express special appreciation to Tatiana Manykina , the assistant of educational projects at the House of the Wannsee Conference.

“One Stone, One Life: 80 Stumbling Stones for Kyiv”. The Project Continues
The project One Stone, One Life: 80 Stumbling Stones for Kyiv was launched in 2021 and was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. The project honours the memory of people whose fate was connected to Babyn Yar, i.e. those who were killed or persecuted by the Nazi regime from 1941 to 1943.

Challenges in Holocaust Studies during the Russian War Against Ukraine. Open Lecture at Vinnytsia Pedagogical University
The NotBox educational and research hub of Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University recently hosted a guest lecture for students of the Faculty of History and International Relations. The lecture, titled Challenges in Holocaust Studies during the Russian War Against Ukraine, was led by the head of the Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies Anatolii Podolskyi.
