Holocaust Memory: Academic and Educational Challenges in Wartime
On February 3, 2026, Anatolii Podolskyi, Director of the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, delivered an online lecture for students of the Faculty of History at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University on the topic Holocaust Memory, Academic and Educational Aspects: Challenges in Times of War.
The lecture was held within the framework of the Department of World History’s project under the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program. Participants also included colleagues and students from other educational institutions in Dnipro and the region.
The presentation emphasized the scale of the Holocaust tragedy in Ukraine, the importance of memorialization, and the challenges of preserving memory during the war launched by russia. It also highlighted that Ukraine ranks fourth in the world in the number of Righteous Among the Nations.
