HOLOCAUST COMMEMORATION AND THE UKRAINIAN SOCIETY: HERITAGE AND THE CHALLENGES OF TODAY
On January 27, 2026, the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, together with the Goethe-Institut in Ukraine, the Jewish Community of Düsseldorf, and the Polish Institute in Kyiv, held the traditional 19th Round Table Holocaust Commemoration and the Ukrainian Society: Heritage and the Challenges of Today.
The event continued the discussion on preserving memory and addressing educational challenges in the context of the full-scale war. Presentations by Ukrainian experts focused on contemporary perceptions of the Holocaust, commemorating the victims, and project and exhibition activities carried out under conditions of russian aggression.
More than 60 participants from Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Kyiv region took part in the three sessions. We sincerely thank everyone for their resilience and dedication.
