Workshop for Educators of Cherkasy Region

On April 13, 2026, history teacher from Cherkasy Halyna Korniienko, trainer and staff member of the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, held a workshop for educators of the Cherkasy region.

She shared practical ideas for project-based work in history lessons that engage students and encourage deeper thinking. She also spoke about her experience in the Center’s educational initiatives and presented useful resources for teachers.

“Together with UCHS I am constantly learning, gaining new experience and support. It is a space of positive interaction and endless opportunities for implementing creative ideas,” said Halyna Korniienko.

Such meetings help build a community of teachers who support one another and make history lessons more meaningful, thoughtful, and truly humane.

Learning from the Past - Acting for the Future. Training on Holocaust History and Human Rights. Seminar in Lithuania

The Olga Lengyel Institute (TOLI), together with the International Commission in Lithuania and the Jewish Community of Lithuania, held a five‑day seminar in Vilnius: “Learning from the Past – Acting for the Future.” The program brought together educators from across Lithuania, Ukraine, and Poland to deepen their understanding of the Holocaust, antisemitism, human rights, and effective teaching practices.
