Call for Applications: International Seminar ‘The Holocaust as a Starting Point’

The Holocaust as a Starting Point (HSP) program, launched by the Mémorial de la Shoah and partners, supports Holocaust education through international teacher training. Within the “Polish-Ukrainian Dialogue,” the Polish Centre for Education Development (ORE), the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, and the Mémorial de la Shoah will host two seminars for 45 teachers from Ukraine and Poland.

The first seminar will take place in Kraków on April 24–26, 2026, focusing on the basics of teaching the Holocaust and antisemitism. The second will be held in Przemyśl on October 9–11, 2026, addressing more complex and sensitive regional issues.

Participation is open only to teachers who are beginning to work with the topic of the Holocaust. Attendance at both seminars is required; certificates will be awarded after the second session. Applications are accepted until March 29, 2026 via [https://forms.gle/4ew7kFbaQ7hfWktk6].

Results will be announced by April 2, 2026.
