We invite you to the XVIII Annual Roundtable ‘Ukrainian Society and the Memory of the Holocaust’
On 27 January 2025, on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we are having the XVIII Roundtable Ukrainian Society and the Memory of the Holocaust: Heritage and Current Challenges.
This year's Roundtable continues the discussion of issues of memory preservation, educational and museum challenges in the context of a full-scale war waged against our country. The focus of this year's presentations by Ukrainian and foreign experts will be on our present, the protection of heritage and commemoration of victims, and learning through history, heritage, and museum work.
The XVIII Roundtable is organised by the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, Goethe-Institut in Ukraine, and the House of Europe programme.

"Hide-and-seek with death" play about the Holocaust premieres in Chernivtsi
On 11 April 2025, the Hryhorii Aheiev Folk Drama Theatre and the Bu-Bu-Bu Children's Theatre Studio premiered a performance in Chernivtsi based on the graphic novel Hide and Seek with Death. Children Stories about Non-Children History, written by the team of authors: Anna Yamchuk, Mykola Kushnir, Anna Tarnovetska and Nataliia Gerasym.
