Learning From The Past - Acting For The Future seminar
On 18-19 May, the seminar Learning from the Past - Acting for the Future was held in Kyiv. It was a joint event of The Olga Lengyel Institute, New York, and the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, funded by the Olga Lengyel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights.
Participants from different parts of Ukraine, with different life and professional experiences, with different ideas and opinions, discussed important issues of the past, present, and future, and together and individually developed an action plan for themselves.
During this short time, we managed to analyse new methods, approaches, and challenges of teaching about the history of the Holocaust and human rights in the context of the ongoing war; learn more about the interdisciplinary approach of teaching about the Holocaust, human rights, and intercultural education; get acquainted with the methodological publication Learning from the Past - Acting for the Future; and exchange project ideas.
We thank all the participants for their active engagement and indifference!
