International scientific and methodological seminar “History of genocides in Ukraine: study of experience and contemporary challenges”
Dear colleagues!
We invite you to take part in the international scientific and methodological seminar “History of genocides in Ukraine: study of experience and contemporary challenges” for history teachers of secondary schools of Kyiv. The seminar is organized by the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, Mémorial de la Shoah (Paris, France) and National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War
The seminar is devoted to the study and understanding of the events of the complicated history of Ukraine in the 20th century and the modern russian aggression against our country, as well as the modern challenges in teaching the topics of genocides in view of the personal experience of surviving gained by Ukrainians in the conditions of war and genocide in the 21st century. The seminar will be held on November 11-13, 2022 in the premises of National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. The work of the seminar will last from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in safe conditions (the Museum has an equipped shelter in case of an air alert). The participants of the seminar will receive a certificate of professional development in the amount of 15 hours (0.5 ECTS credit). Seminar on Teaching Holocaust History at High School in Chernivtsi
