Co-operation with Yad Vashem Authority goes on
As is known, last November the first Ukrainian group of history teachers visited and educational-methodical seminar on Holocaust research and teaching in world renowned Yad Vashem Authority (Jerusalem). This landmark event was possible owing to the efforts of Yad Vashem and Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies. Now both sides have a desire for continuous co-operation in preparing new Ukrainian groups for internships at Yad Vashem.
After the meeting of European experts on Holocaust teaching in Jerusalem in February 2007 it was agreed that the second Ukrainian group of teachers will arrive at Yad Vashem in October 2007. Responsibility for the preparation of the group and selection of teachers was given to Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies.
Moreover, being a participant of annual Yad Vashem internships of teachers from Europe, Ukraine has the right to send annually two teachers for the international seminar in Yad Vashem, where working language is naturally English. First two Ukrainian teachers will go for the international seminar in Jerusalem in August 2007.
