Seminar “How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren” (March 27–29, 2026, Kyiv)

insidethegatesOn March 27–29, 2026, Kyiv hosted a methodological seminar How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren for graduates of the online course of the same name.

During these days, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, visit Holocaust memorial sites (including Babyn Yar) and places of World War II history, take part in workshops organized by experts of the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, and, if they wished, present their own achievements after completing the course.

In a friendly professional atmosphere, participants shared their methods and approaches, received feedback from colleagues, and initiated new interregional partnerships. The seminar brought together representatives from many regions of Ukraine.

Beyond professional benefits, the seminar also had a positive psycho-emotional impact: for many participants, it was a chance to step away from the realities of wartime life, to rest from constant alarms and shelling. We hope that all participants left inspired for further work with students and for the successful completion of this challenging school year.
