Cleaning Stumbling Stones in Kyiv

insidethegatesOn April 4, 2026, the first cleaning of Stumbling Stones this year took place in Kyiv. Twelve participants joined the action within the memorial project One Stone - One Life. 80 Stumbling Stones for Kyiv.

The walk lasted 2.5 hours. Historian and philosopher Oleksandr Voroniuk presented the biographies of Liudmyla Tkach and Klavdiia Vynokurova (Pianykh), emphasizing the importance of mindful remembrance.

Two Stumbling Stones were cleaned - not only restoring the shine of brass but also sustaining living memory. Organizers highlight that such initiatives help build a responsible community ready to care for the stones and preserve their connection with the past.
