Research Team Meeting for the Project “One Stone - One Life: 80 Stumbling Stones for Kyiv”

On 13 December 2025, the first in‑person meeting of school research teams took place in Kyiv. These teams are currently studying the biographies for new Stumbling Stones. Five teams from Kyiv and one from Odesa - history teachers working together with their students - are each conducting their own research.

The meeting finally gave them an opportunity to connect, share their findings, and learn about useful information sources and educational methodologies.

The project was initiated by the [German Embassy in Kyiv / Deutsche Botschaft Kyjiw] and implemented by the Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies in cooperation with the [Educational Centre Space of Tolerance] and the Kyiv City State Administration.

On April 4, 2026, the first cleaning of Stumbling Stones this year took place in Kyiv. Twelve participants joined the action within the memorial project One Stone - One Life. 80 Stumbling Stones for Kyiv.

TOLI Impact Grants 2024–2025: International Report Published

The Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies warmly congratulates the teachers who implemented projects during the 2024-2025 academic year within the framework of the TOLI Impact Grants. Altogether, 168 educators from across Europe took part in this transformative process, bringing Holocaust and human rights education into their classrooms.
