XV Annual I.B. Medvinsky All-Ukrainian Students’ Competition of Research and Art Works “History and Lessons of the Holocaust”

16-18 May 2015 was marked by the annual competition of students’ research and art works on the Holocaust taking place in Kyiv. This year over 50 participants have made it to the final part, all students of secondary educational establishments representing 12 oblasts of Ukraine. Next to them were represented some of their peers from Belarus and Moldova. In total the competition gathered over a 100 people: the participants, their tutors and the jury comprised of Ukrainian researchers and educators.
Following the tradition the competition in 2015 was held by Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies with the support of Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and the Embassy of the State of Israel; however, this year’s event was also supported by the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine and EVZ Foundation.

  • Seminar ‘How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren’

    On 26-28 September 2025, a methodological seminar entitled How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren was held in Kyiv. Educators from nine regions of Ukraine gathered to learn, exchange experiences and seek answers to difficult questions. The seminar participants had already successfully completed the online course How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren, which began on 10 June 2025, and now had the opportunity to continue their training in the format of direct professional communication.

  • A Ukrainian Jewish Century

    The exhibition A Ukrainian-Jewish Century, organised by the educational organisation Centropa and previously shown in numerous cities across Ukraine, opened in early September at the Menachem Begin Heritage Centre in Jerusalem, Israel.
