XIII Robert Kuwalek Study Trip
On 22-27 October 2023, after a four-year hiatus, the Robert Kuwałek Holocaust History in Western Ukraine and Eastern Poland Seminar was held in cooperation with the UCHS and the "Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre" Centre, with financial support from the Claims Conference and the American Jewish Committee.
6 full working days spent in productive theoretical, practical, and excursion classes. The group visited the places of memory and memorials on the territory of 3 former death camps involved in the so-called "Operation Reinhardt", during which Nazi killed about 2 million European Jews. After honouring the memory of the victims (including numerous victims from Ukraine), the group had the opportunity to share their experience of teaching the traumatic topic of Holocaust history using the most modern methodological tools.
