Route of the exhibition “Anne Frank: a History for Today” in Spring 2007

The project “Holocaust and Tolerance Education in Ukraine” initiated by Anne Frank House Museum in the Netherlands in co-operation with Ukrainian scholarly and educational organizations, among which Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies takes its place, continues this year as well outside Ukrainian territories. Its constituent part – a traveling exhibition “Anna Frank – a History for Today” – in March was on the territory of Moldova in Rybnitse (it is the second time the exhibition is in Moldova: in January 2007 it took place in Chisinau), in April the exhibition opened in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky in Odessa region, and in April – May 2007 the dwellers of Rostov-na-Donu, Russia will have it at their disposal.
According to the general concept the exhibition in every city is preceded by an educational seminar on Holocaust and inter-ethnic tolerance for teachers (organized by All-Ukrainian Association of Teachers of History and Civic Education “Nova DOba”) and peer guide trainings held by our Centre.

International scientific and methodological seminar “History of genocides in Ukraine: study of experience and contemporary challenges”

Starting in 2022, the UCHS, in cooperation and with funding from the Shoah Memorial (Paris), has been conducting scientific seminars for educators in Ukraine on topics related to the history and memory of genocides on the territory of Ukraine in the global context. The speakers at the seminar are Ukrainian and French scholars. The working languages of the event are Ukrainian and French with simultaneous translation.

The UCHS continues to work on the creation of an online course Methodology of Teaching about the History of the Holocaust in Secondary School. The authors of this course are well-known Ukrainian history teachers, history teaching methodologists, and scholars.
