International Round Table “Memory about the Holocaust: Educational Approaches and Ways of Further Development in the Modern Ukraine”, 27.05, Kyiv
International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is an international body that supports national and international activities on Holocaust research, education and commemoration. Today the Alliance counts 31 member-states; 8 more countries are observers – a status which Ukraine too aims to gain.
On the occasion of start of Hungarian year of presidency in the Alliance, Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”, Ukrainian Association for Jewish Studies in cooperation with the International “Renaissance” Foundation and under the support of the Hungarian Embassy in Ukraine and IHRA have held on 27 May a round table discussion on the premises of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. During the round table discussion, various topical aspects were discussed, among them diverse approaches to educational activities and historical memory about the Holocaust.
