XVII All-Ukrainian I.B. Medvinsky Competition of Students’ Research and Art Works “History and Lessons of the Holocaust”, school year 2016-2017

The XVII All-Ukrainian I.B. Medvinsky Competition of Students’ Research and Art Works “History and Lessons of the Holocaust” for academic year 2016-2017 took place on 19-21 May 2017 . It was organized by Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies with the support from the Eurasian Jewish Congress, The Association of Jewish Organizations and Communities (VAAD) of Ukraine and the Embassy of the State of Israel to Ukraine. Students from 14 regions of Ukraine together with counterparts from Belarus, Moldova and Kyrgyzstan participated in the competition. More than 130 works were submitted to the competition, 64 of them were approved for the public presentation in Kyiv.

  • Seminar ‘How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren’

    On 26-28 September 2025, a methodological seminar entitled How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren was held in Kyiv. Educators from nine regions of Ukraine gathered to learn, exchange experiences and seek answers to difficult questions. The seminar participants had already successfully completed the online course How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren, which began on 10 June 2025, and now had the opportunity to continue their training in the format of direct professional communication.
