Young people reflect on the Holocaust: Iwalk Program
Our partner, Kyiv educational center “Tolerance” will hold a 3-days seminar “Young people reflect on the Holocaust: Iwalk Program” in Poland on April 20-24, 2023 for Ukrainian teachers and high school students.
Who can participate:
- 5 teachers and two students (16+ years old) with each teacher,
- who are interested in the topic of historical memory of the Nazi war crimes in Ukraine,
- have experience researching the topic of the Holocaust with students,
- live or plan to return to the following regions: Kyiv and Kyiv region, Vinnytsia region, Lviv region, Ternopil region, Chernivtsi region, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Odesa region, Rivne region, Zhytomyr region, Khmelnytskyi region, Mykolaiv region, Zakarpattia region.
- are ready to develop such/similar offline and online excursions after the seminar.

Graduates of the seminar will receive expert consultations from specialists of the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies.

On May 16-17, 2026, Kyiv hosted the XXVI I.B. Medvynsky All‑Ukrainian Competition of Student Research and Art Works History and Lessons of the Holocaust. This year, 106 entries were submitted from across Ukraine, with 52 reaching the final stage. Nearly 100 participants from 14 regions took part.
