Ukrainian Memory Coalition
On 18th June 2021, the Ukrainian Memorial Coalition has been found with the Initiative of the National Memorial Complex of Heroes of Heavenly Hundred - Museum of the Revolution of the Dignity
We are happy to announce that the UCHS has become a member of this coalition as well.
The Ukrainian Memory Coalition brings together leading institutions of complex history, to discuss the painful pages of National History. Its activities are also aimed at developing critical rethinking of the past and its consequences for the present, as well as a formation of a more humane future.
Anatoly Podolsky, director of the UCHS, underlined that the Coalition would help everyone work together: "Raising this issue is only possible in a democratic environment. It was taboo in the USSR. Memory was selective. We need to stop fearing our own past."
