CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Annual Educational Seminar-School "History of the Holocaust in Ukraine: Research, Education, and Commemoration" (Kyiv, August 2026)
The Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, in cooperation with the Yad Vashem Memorial (Jerusalem) and with the support of partners, is launching a call for applications for the educational seminar-school History of the Holocaust in Ukraine: Research, Education, and Commemoration.
The seminar is designed for teachers of history and other social sciences from secondary schools across Ukraine. Through lectures, discussions, workshops, and guided tours, participants will explore various aspects of Holocaust history in Ukraine and Europe. Key topics include the policies of totalitarian regimes, Ukrainian-Jewish relations, the ideology of Nazi antisemitism, comparative genocide studies, and historical memory. Special emphasis will be placed on how the ongoing russian war against Ukraine impacts Holocaust research, education, and commemoration. A significant portion of the program will also focus on practical teaching methodologies for the classroom.
Application deadline: July 6, 2026.
