The Holocaust as a Starting Point: Polish–Ukrainian Dialogue
From October 21 to 23, 2025, the international training The Holocaust as a Starting Point: Polish–Ukrainian Dialogue will take place in Lublin, Poland. The event is intended for graduates of educational programs run by the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies and is co-organized by the Shoah Memorial (France), ORE (Poland), and the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies.
Around 40 educators from Ukraine and Poland will gather to discuss Holocaust education, Polish–Ukrainian relations, and contemporary challenges of historical memory. The program includes lectures, discussions, and intercultural exchange. Working languages are Ukrainian, Polish, and French, with simultaneous interpretation provided.
The initiative is part of the broader international program “The Holocaust as a Starting Point,” launched by the Shoah Memorial in 2015 in partnership with over 30 institutions across Europe. Its goal is to foster sustainable cooperation in Holocaust education and research, and to counter antisemitism, discrimination, and the political misuse of history.
All travel, accommodation, and meal expenses are covered by the Shoah Memorial.
