Happy Independence Day, Ukraine!
Today, we celebrate not just a date on the calendar — we honour the strength, dignity, and resilience of the Ukrainian people.
Independence means the right to be yourself, to freely shape your future, and to remember your past.
At a time when russia is waging war against Ukraine, the significance of this day is especially profound. Ukrainians are defending their land, language, culture, and their right to live in a free country.
The Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies believes that remembering the past is our shield against evil — and a guarantee that truth and justice will prevail.
We pay tribute to all who gave their lives for Ukraine, and to those who are bringing us closer to victory today.
Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to every defender who protects our independence.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
