Cooperation Memorandum Between centers for Holocaust studies in Poland and Ukraine

On 22 January 2014 in Krakow a signing of Cooperation Memorandum between Center for Holocaust Studies at Jagiellonian Universtiy in Krakow and Kyiv based Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies took place. It happened during an international conference “Mass Murder Sites: Research and Commemoration” organized by IHRA. The three-year memorandum presupposes academic exchange, exchange of research publications, organization of common academic and educational seminar and conferences. This year already first Ukrainian teachers will visit the summer school in Holocaust studies in Krakow. The memorandum was singed by directors of two centers: Dr. Jolanta Ambrosewicz-Jacobs and Dr. Anatoly Podolsky in the presence of Prof. Steven Katz, IHRA Academic Advisor.

  • Seminar ‘How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren’

    On 26-28 September 2025, a methodological seminar entitled How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren was held in Kyiv. Educators from nine regions of Ukraine gathered to learn, exchange experiences and seek answers to difficult questions. The seminar participants had already successfully completed the online course How to Talk About the Holocaust with Schoolchildren, which began on 10 June 2025, and now had the opportunity to continue their training in the format of direct professional communication.
