9th Annual R. Kuwalek Study Trip “History of the Holocaust in Ukraine and Poland”, 22-27 August 2016

On 22-27 August 2016 Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies (Kyiv) in cooperation with Center “Teatr Brama Grodzka NN” (Lublin) and Center for Urban History of East-Central Europe (Lviv) held the 9th annual educational and methodical study trip for teachers of history and humanities “History of the Holocaust in Ukraine and Poland”. The seminar gave much space for discussions and exchange of experience. Lectures and workshops were powered by visits to memorial places in Lviv, Rava-Ruska, Lublin-Majdanek, Sobibor, Belzec. The participants were also deeply impressed by the visit to the Museum of the History of Polish Jews – POLIN and the educational programs presented to them by the local associates. The study trip became possible owing to the support of American Jewish Committee and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany.
