Meeting of the Research Teams for the "One Stone, One Life" Project

On June 9, 2026, the Maidan Museum's Information and Exhibition Center in Kyiv hosted the final meeting of the research teams for the international project One Stone, One Life: 80 Stumbling Stones for Kyiv. Six teams of young researchers gathered to review their work since October, joined by speakers Oleksandr Voroniuk, Nadiia Ufimtseva, and Anatolii Podolskyi.

The participants shared their discoveries, learned to see the real human stories behind historical documents, and even practiced writing their names in Hebrew. A key highlight was a profound discussion with Anatolii Podolskyi comparing the courage of Ukrainians who rescued Jews during WWII with those saving lives today during the ongoing russian war against Ukraine. Additionally, Viktoriia Boiko from the Maidan Museum presented a new interactive workbook, leading a hands-on session where participants reflected on freedom, safety, and civic responsibility.

The project was initiated by the [German Embassy in Kyiv] and implemented by the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies in cooperation with the Kyiv City State Administration.

Learning from the Past - Acting for the Future. Training on Holocaust History and Human Rights. Seminar in Lithuania

The Olga Lengyel Institute (TOLI), together with the International Commission in Lithuania and the Jewish Community of Lithuania, held a five‑day seminar in Vilnius: “Learning from the Past – Acting for the Future.” The program brought together educators from across Lithuania, Ukraine, and Poland to deepen their understanding of the Holocaust, antisemitism, human rights, and effective teaching practices.
